The Practice
Rich established the Arc Veterinary Centre in 2011 with the hope of providing a welcoming, stress free environment for clients and pets, where he could practice the type of holistic, animal centred medicine that he’d learnt from some of the great clinics he’d worked at along the way. Though tucked underneath the old railway arches on St James Lane, word of mouth quickly spread and soon enough Rich needed the help of Will to keep up. Will has since moved with his wife to San Diego but remains a partner in the practice. Perhaps Will’s greatest gift to the Arc was promoting Alex, from the receptionist position in which she joined, to Practice Manager from which lofty position she now runs the show, juggling a hundred balls with an air of total serenity.
The premises were converted from an empty shell under the third arch along The Viaduct in Muswell Hill. We have lovely environment from which to practice which often doesn’t feel like a vets despite all the kit (Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, Laparoscopy (Keyhole) Cameras and Scopes, Dental Radiography, Tonometry, Anaesthetic Monitoring, Dedicated Operating Theatre and Dental Suite), There’s pictures hanging on the walls and chairs in the consult room so you can take a seat and discuss your problem. One of our most common interventions is no intervention, and that’s how we like it, but if we need to, we can do whatever’s necessary to help your pet back to health.
Since Rich opened the practice we have been joined by Jasmine, Danni, Holly, Kevin, Emma , Safia and Izzy and seen over 15000 (mostly) happy customers. We keep moving forward and investing in our clinic and our people but never forgetting the purpose of the practice which is to facilitate, support and preserve that human-animal bond which is one of life’s greatest joys.
